GRAMMAR: Phrasal Verbs (verb & preposition)

Phrasal Verbs have a different meaning from the verb e.g.

To write off = to abandon and accept as a loss.
We had to write off the debt they owed.

To bail out = to come to the rescue financially.
They bailed us out when we had cash flow problems.

To call off = to cancel.
She called off the meeting at the last minute.
